I’d like to mention which is a UK registered charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, rebuild their lives. It aims to ensure that survivors have all the help they need to cope with such a tragedy, and that they remain part of the police family.
COPS is independent of the police service and was founded in March 2003 by Jim McNulty and Christine Fulton (MBE). Jim was a retired police officer from Strathclyde Police. Christine is the widow of PC Lewis Fulton who was murdered on duty in Glasgow in 1994. Christine's experience of that tragedy gave her a unique understanding of the overwhelming grief and confusion that is encountered by new survivors. COPS makes contact with the survivors of every new line of duty death, explaining what COPS does and inviting survivors to make contact when they are ready for such support.

Catch 22 Youth Charity

I think I may be able to gain support from one of the local Waterstones shops to stock Teen Cops  and perhaps provide a book signing opportunity. Fingers crossed!
Over the past year I have been speaking to the good people at Catch 22 who try to steer the youths they work with away from crime or substance misuse, encourage them to do the best they can in school or college and develop skills for work, live independently on leaving care or custody, gain new skills and confidence as parents, and play a full part in their community. Their goal is to deliver social benefit by turning chaotic lives around.

Washington State Police Videos

I have found a selection of Washington State Trooper videos and posted these on the site. If you have any police related videos that you think might be of interest then please feel free to send them in. Or why not make your own Teen Cops episode?

Book location

I thought it might be interesting to see one of the locations from the book and I would like you to visit in Gresham Oregon. You'll need to read the book to find out more. Please like The owner Cody has been very supportive and perhaps one day I’ll pay Café Delirium a visit!

The Teen Cops Books

Probably not a good idea if I give too much of the storyline away for the book, but just to give you a little background. The Teen Cops books stories revolve around five teenagers who have spent time in a juvenile detention centre and were fortunate enough to be given a second shot or a chance at redemption, by the Washing State Police. I‘ll leave you to find out the rest.
I need to work on the marketing and sales for the books next week and see if one of the local book stores would allow me to hold a book signing. Sounds like a grand plan and no harm in trying.
